Cindy Campbell (Anna Faris) works as a caretaker for a house that is believed to be haunted. There she meets Tom Ryan (Craig Bierko) who lives in the neighboring house. Tom is a divorced father and he takes care of his children. Soon Cindy and Tom become very good friends. Cindy learns about the boy haunting the house who keeps disappearing. Then the town is attacked by "Tr-i-pod" aliens. Cindy decides to stop aliens with the help of her friend Brenda Meeks (Regina Hall) and Tom. Brenda discovers a hidden village outside the town and learns that the boy's father lives in that village. Together they try to locate boy's father who can help solve the mystery about the house as well as stop the aliens. The movie has spoofs for a lot of recent movies like Saw, The Village, The Grudge, War of the Worlds, Million Dollar Baby, Brokeback Mountain and more.
