An American Werewolf in London is the story of two college students/tourists visiting London, who are attacked by a werewolf. Jack Goodman (Griffin Dunne) is killed, but David Naughton (David Kessler) survives and recuperates in a London hospital before moving in with his nurse Alex Price (Jenny Agutter). David turns into a werewolf when the moon is full, killing people, but not remembering it when he wakes up at the zoo later. David’s victims and the ghost of Jack come to David, asking him to kill himself before he hurts anyone else. David refuses, and instead kills more people. Alex tries to “kill him” (his werewolf side) “with kindness”, telling him that she loves him, but he is shot, and turns back into a human as he dies.
