Detectives Lee and Carter return in the action and comedy packed sequel to Rush Hour. This time around Lee (Jackie Chan) and Carter (Chris Tucker) find themselves on Lee's home turf in Hong Kong purportedly on vacation. Things quickly turn from a relaxing vacation to hot pursuit of a suspect, Ricky Tan as a bomb explodes at the American Embassy. They soon find themselves on a chase to discover who is at the heart of this attack and another one on Lee himself. Finding themselves back in L. A. after following Carter's theory of criminal investigation, which is 'follow the rich white man', they become involved with Isabela Molino (Roselyn Sanchez), an undercover customs agent trying to stop a counterfeiting ring. After being captured by Ricky Tan's second in command, Hu Li (Zhang Ziyi), they find themselves in Las Vegas and end up solving the case, again!
